Perfect place for a wedding ceremony

Chapel of St. John

The true jewel of the Resort Svět in Úžice is located in the Chapel of St. John. It was built in 2010 and is located just 50 meters from private restaurants Bašta. The chapel is an ideal place for a romantic wedding at a high level both in the open air and for up to 60 people under the roof.

Our goal is to offer an all-in-one-stop service. Wedding ceremony in an amazing romantic place in the Chapel of St. Jána, wedding reception in a private restaurant Bašta and accommodation in an unconventional exotic Pension Svět with a travel theme.

The chapel also serves visitors for quiet private meditation and relaxation from everyday work strain and stress.

Unforgettable wedding

Unique interior

The interior of the chapel is decorated with an original root relief sculpture. The roots were dug up by the Bastion during the construction of our pension. Under the bravura carving is signed Jozef Cipryán of Podhradí.

The relief of the Holy Trinity was completed in 2010 during Easter. The Virgin Mary is depicted as an "apparition" on a trunk of wood. The angel then carries a heavy cross. Under the altar there is a nativity scene with eleven figures. The blacksmith decoration is also quite original, from candlesticks through the Bible counter to the massive entrance door.

The chapel is built exactly according to the cardinal points, in 2010 it was consecrated by Cardinal Dominik Duka and is decorated with secular artifacts from different parts of the world.
